We’ve got the basics covered, like using 50% recycled materials for soap wrappers, 85 % recycled materials on soap and accessory cartons, and printing with soy-based inks. We also offer bulk-product options and dispenser systems to help reduce waste.
We’ve partnered with Carbonfund.org, a nonprofit organization which offsets the carbon emissions our company puts forth and donates to worldwide reforestation projects. Forest-based, carbon-offset projects fight climate change by sequestering carbon dioxide emissions from the atmosphere, and have many benefits for the community and local wildlife.
Now we’re taking the next step: converting all of our packaging—hotel and retail—to biodegradable plastic. By adding a non-toxic, FDA-approved additive called EcoPure, we are able to significantly accelerate the rate of biodegradation in our plastic components upon exposure to the anaerobic, microbe-rich environment of a typical landfill. After all, it only makes sense for a natural product to come in an Earth-friendly package.
