From soap to LATHER, Pasadena-based beauty entrepreneur Emilie Davidson Hoyt has turned a small soap company into a brand that bathes in contentment with people around the world.

What began as a collection of pure olive oil-based soaps quickly grew into a comprehensive collection of exfoliating body scrubs, hydrating body crèmes, results-oriented facial treatments, soothing bath gels, and aromatherapy candles.

The first LATHER store opened in Pasadena, CA in 1999. Today, others stand in Atlanta, GA and Scottsdale, AZ.

Coveted by both men and women for all-natural ingredients, gentle formulations and fresh-smelling scents, LATHER now offers a variety of branded and custom amenity collections. The aromatherapy ingredients in these collections are designed to deliver specific benefits to hotel guests and are gently formulated with natural oils for even the most sensitive skin.

LATHER’s branded and custom amenities are now offered in distinctive properties such as Wynn Resorts, Canyon Ranch, the Gramercy Park Hotel and Shutters on the Beach. We’re a certified woman-owned business and a preferred supplier for The Leading Hotels of the World.

LATHER may go to the ends of the earth to source ingredients, but packaging is kept clean and simple, with an eye toward modern, unisex designs. We believe that what goes IN the bottle remains more important than what goes ON it.

In keeping with LATHER’s commitment to the environment, in 2008 we pioneered the use of eco-friendly, sustainable packaging for our Bamboo Lemongrass collection.
